SPECIAL EDUCATION CHAIRS and POTENTIAL CHAIRS:
Are you the Special Education Chair for your school’s PTA? Would you like to take on this role? We would love to connect with you and support the work you are doing! If you have not already done so, please have your PTA president email the LWPTSA Council secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org and SEG chairs Kaity Mason & Huma Zarif at email@example.com to let us know you have been appointed to this role.
We will host a training with LWPTSA President Yumna Green on Tuesday, March 28, from 6:30 to 8 pm at the LWSD Resource Center for all chairs and anyone interested in this role! Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. We will learn about the PTA ins and outs from Yumna and share ideas for success. We are looking forward to this time together!

This is the most important and useful class of them all, as it will prepare you and your fellow officers to run your PTA with an eye toward the important legal and fiscal requirements in running a nonprofit. PTA and the Law deals with state and federal rules and regulations relevant to running a charitable, tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation in the state of Washington and will explain how these rules impact your PTA. PTA and the Law is a required class for at least one PTA officer each year. This is the final scheduled date for this training this school year.
