Courageous Conversation (Part 2 of 2) @ Virtual on Zoom

Courageous Conversation (Part 2 of 2) @ Virtual on Zoom

All PTA and DEI leaders are invited to join us virtually on Zoom in April and May for a two-part discussion and learning series: Courageous Conversation®. Both sessions will center on courageous conversations about race and will be facilitated by Na’eemah Webb, LWSD Family Engagement and Community Outreach Coordinator, and Adanna Abakporo, LWSD Equity and Family Engagement Facilitator.

  • Sessions: April 3, 6–7 pm, and May 1, 6–7 pm
  • Zoom links will be shared in our April 1 and April 29 issues of Weekly Waves, as well as here on our website calendar

LWPTSA Council Membership Meeting @ Virtual on Zoom
May 2 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm

All local PTA leaders are invited to attend our monthly membership meetings held the first Thursday of the month during the school year. Meetings will mostly be during daytime hours, with occasional evening meeting times, and will be a mix of in-person and virtual Zoom meetings.

In-person membership meetings will be held at the Lake Washington School District Resource Center in Redmond Town Center. The LWSD Resource Center address is: 16250 NE 74th St., Redmond WA 98052. Zoom meeting links for our online meetings will be available in the Weekly Waves newsletter that all local PTA leaders receive.

We’re back at the Lynnwood Event Center for this 3-day Convention and Annual Meeting. This is the perfect opportunity for you and your board to network, attend trainings, get new ideas for your school and vote on the important business of our statewide association.

Trainings and networking opportunities will be offered over all 3 days, with the Annual Meeting voting sessions happening on Saturday and Sunday.

Attend our growing exhibit fair on Saturday to learn about programs and services that can help your PTA.

Special Education Group (SEG) meetings in 2023-2024 will be held in person at the LWSD Resource Center (16250 NE 74th St., Redmond WA 98052). An unstructured networking time will be held from 6:30 to 7 pm, offering an opportunity for members to connect with one another. The formal portion of the meeting will begin at 7 pm.

* If you require an interpreter or student care during our meetings, please contact us at specialeducation@lwptsa.net at least 3 business days prior to the meeting you plan to attend so that we can make arrangements for you.
