2024-2025 National PTA Reflections Award Winners

(May 1, 2025) LWPTSA Council congratulates the following four LWSD students who are among the National PTA award winners in this year’s Reflections art program:

⭐️ Ankita Datta of Eastlake High School PTSA — Award of Excellence, Film Production (Gr 9-12)), “Prisms”
⭐️ Lucy Henry of Peter Kirk Elementary PTSA — Award of Merit, Film Production (PreK-Gr 2), “My Snowman Kitten”
⭐️ Hria Karthikeyan of International Community School PTSA — Award of Merit, Film Production (Gr 6-8), “The Beauty of Imperfection”
⭐️ Himadyuthi Gowda of International Community School PTSA — Award of Merit, Photography (Gr 9-12), “Accepting Both Worlds”

For the 2024-2025 year, student artists were tasked with creating original works on art in any of six arts categories, as an interpretation of the theme, “Accepting Imperfection.”

LWPTSA Council also extends congratulations to two Washington state students who are among the winners of Outstanding Interpretation, the highest honor awarded: Quinlan Tian (Visual Arts) from Medina PTA and Adrit Pradeepkumar (Music Composition) from Lakeridge Elementary PTA!

Of the 28 Reflections entries that Washington State PTA submitted to National PTA, our state has 17 national award winners! That’s the second highest number of winners of all the states this year. (See National PTA’s announcement and the full list of winners)

Congratulations, and thank you to all our participating PTAs and local chairs for supporting this arts program. We look forward to next year’s Reflections season, as students interpret the theme, “I Belong!”

LWPTSA Council received 329 local finalist entries from 39 of our PTAs in this year’s program, and 68 works were selected from among these to advance to the WSPTA round. WSPTA received more than 700 entries at the state level, with 28 Outstanding Interpretation winners moving on to the national round, including six from our school district.
