LWPTSA Council was honored to present Tesla STEM High School PTSA with a You Rock! award at our May 1, 2025, membership meeting in recognition of their impressive roster of free, virtually hosted student and family engagement programming this year that has prioritized accessibility, collaboration, and an inclusive and equitable experience. Most of their programs have been open not only to Tesla STEM students, but to students across the Lake Washington School District.
In planning for the 2024-25 school year, Tesla STEM PTSA took a proactive approach to facilitating programs that have been impactful for high school students district-wide. They aimed to provide equitable access to a range of educational and career-focused opportunities, bringing together students from diverse backgrounds to collaborate, learn, and grow.
The PTSA’s events have included such topics as financial management, SAT/ACT prep, college planning, medicine as a career, computing as a career, and more. Three additional events remain this spring, all of which are open to high schoolers from all LWSD schools.
Events have been well attended, with more than 120 registered for their January event, “Yes, No, Not Yet: Thinking About College and Beyond.” With the approval of presenters, the PTSA has recorded as many programs as possible, and makes the recordings available to registrants within two days post-event.
Through offering these programs throughout the year, Tesla STEM PTSA has aimed to foster community engagement, promote educational excellence, and ensure that students across the district could benefit from resources and experiences beyond their own schools.
LWPTSA Council is pleased to recognize Tesla STEM High School PTSA with the May 2025 You Rock! Award. Congratulations, Tesla STEM PTSA! You Rock! Learn more about LWPTSA Council’s You Rock! awards.
