January Topic: Community Resources
Guest Speaker: Rachel Nemhauser, Director of Information and Family Support at The Arc of King County, and parent of a 20-year-old autistic son.
This presentation provides an overview of essential community resources available to parents raising children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Topics will include The Arc, Parent to Parent, DDA, SSI, online resources and more.

We’re excited to have Pablo Ortega, LWSD’s Director of Equity & Family Engagement, join us as our guest for our March Lunch & Learn. We’ll be talking about how our district incorporates and fosters cultural competence in our schools. Why is cultural competence important?
