Lake Washington PTSA Council is pleased and extremely proud to extend congratulations to local students Megan Lambert, Aishani Kar and Kirill E. Kadach, whose entries in the 2022-2023 Reflections art program have been honored at the National PTA level!
Megan, a student at Lake Washington High School, was awarded the highest honor of Outstanding Interpretation for her visual arts piece, “Hear Me Roar,” in the Special Artist division.
Aishani, a Timberline Middle School student, received Award of Excellence in the Literature category. Aishani’s piece was titled, “Asserting the Algorithm.”
Kirill, a Redmond Middle School student, received Award of Merit in the Photography category. Kirill’s piece was titled, “Surfing Sound Waves.”

Megan, Aishani and Kirill advanced all the way from their local PTAs’ programs at Lake Washington High School PTSA, Timberline Middle School PTSA and Redmond Middle School PTSA. LWPTSA Council received more than 250 local finalist entries from 36 of our participating PTAs in this year’s program. During Council-level judging, 62 winners were selected to advance to the Washington State PTA round. Five of our students were then honored at the WSPTA level and were submitted to National PTA judging.
Council continues to be inspired by all of our local student artists, and we look forward to the 2023-2024 Reflections program this next fall, as students interpret the theme, I Am Hopeful Because … .
