Lake Washington PTSA Council Scholarships

Thank you for visiting the Council Scholarships page! We are so pleased to be able to offer scholarship opportunities for 2018 graduating seniors. The application process will again be from mid January through mid-April.

NEW THIS YEAR ONLY PLEASED TO BE PARTNERING WITH LWSF:

The Lake Washington Schools Foundation (LWSF) is offering two scholarships to students graduating from a LWSD high school and enrolling in a four-year college.  Each scholarship is $10,000 ($2500 per year).  One scholarship will be awarded for Merit or Education and one for Perseverance or Turn Around.  All applicants applying for a PTSA Council scholarship are automatically considered for the LWSF scholarships, no additional application materials are necessary.

Background of the LWPTSA Council Scholarships:

Each year, the Lake Washington PTSA Council awards a variety of scholarships to graduating seniors and to LWSD certificated staff.  Funding for these scholarships is provided by the generosity of all PTSAs in the district, the continued support and success of Council’s Annual Scholarship Basket Auction, and donations from the greater community.  Student scholarships, recognizing achievement and community service, assist recipients in their post-secondary education.  Scholarships for certificated LWSD staff provide assistance with continuing education at an institute of higher learning, through LWSD Professional Development, or for pursuing National Board

To get more details about the program and an idea of what will be offered in 2018 (subject to any changes made this fall), you are welcome to view last year’s scholarship applications. Download the Student Scholarship Package and the Staff Scholarship Application here.
