Each February, Lake Washington PTSA Council presents awards to outstanding volunteers, advocates and organizations from across the Lake Washington School District. All PTAs are invited to submit award nominations for presentation at the annual Founders’ Day Luncheon. LWPTSA Council awards include:
- Golden Acorn
- Community Outreach Award
- Community Service Award
- Certificate of Special Service
- Outstanding Advocate Award
- Outstanding Educator
- Outstanding Service Award
- Honorary Life Membership Award
2023-2024 Nominations Are Now Closed
Nominations are due Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024. Please email Awards {at} LWPTSA.net with questions or to submit a nomination via email. Nominations may also be submitted in person to the LWPTSA Council office in the LWSD Resource Center, or by mail to: LWPTSA Council Awards Nominations, PO Box 97039, Redmond WA 98073.

Washington State PTA Local PTA Awards of Excellence
Washington State PTA offers awards that recognize the fantastic work PTAs do to support their communities through family and community engagement, advocacy, policy, processes and growth while following best practices. These award applications are due in March, with awards being presented at the WSPTA Convention each May. These include:

Local Unit Awards
Many local PTAs create and sponsor their own volunteer recognition and awards in addition to taking advantage of individual awards available through Washington State PTA. Individual WSPTA Awards, which can be given by PTAs at the local PTA level, include:
